Southampton Ace Mohammed Salisu is set to honour his invitation and join the Black Stars after the latest meeting with GFA Boss Kurt Okraku.
Mohammed Salisu has rejected the chance to represent the Senior National Team on numerous occasions under the technical management of Kwesi Appiah, C.K Akonnor and Serbian Trainer Milovan Rajevac due to personal reasons.
The 23 year old has been very detrimental at the centre of defence for the Saints this season making 33 appearances in all competitions with 6 clean sheets to his name.
Recent reports has suggested that the Southampton Star will honour his call in the coming weeks but is unclear whether he will be available for the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar which is sceduled to kickoff on June 1st 2022.
GFA President Kurt Okraku paid a visit to Mohammed Salisu and Thomas Partey earlier last month with the motive of convincing the defender to rescind his decision and play for the Black Stars.
Talks were positive and Salisu has finally agreed to for the Black Stars as preparations towards the 2022 Qatar World Cup intensifies.
