Hearts Of Oak defeat Bechem United 2-1 to win the 2022 MTN FA Cup after an intensed clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium evening.
Bechem United dominated the early exchanges of the game in the opening minutes and they rewarded on the 44th minute when Emmanuel Avornyo pounced on a loose ball in the penalty area after Richmond Ayi couldn’t grab hold of a shot from Augustine Okrah.
Hearts Of Oak came back stronger shortly after the goal and they grabbed the equaliser on the stroke of halftime courtesy of a Caleb Amankwah strike.
The second half started intensely and the Phobians scored their second on the 60th minute through postal boy Daniel Afriyie Barnieh to give Hearts a 2-1 lead.
The game eventually ended 2-1 in favour of Hearts Of Oak who have now won the famous trophy back to back.
Hearts Of Oak have now won the MTNFA Cup 12 times as they round off a disappointing league campaign with a silverware.
