Moroccan Club Wydad Casablanca have been crowned champions of Africa after defeating Egyptian side Al Ahly in the finals of the CAF Champions league.
Talented striker Zouhair El Moutaradhi scored twice to make it 2-0 for Wydad as they defeated defending Champions Al Ahly to lift the trophy.
After winning the trophy in 1992, 2017 and 2022 Wydad Casablanca become the second Moroccan side to lift the TotalEnergies CAFCAF Champions League three times after Raja Casablanca.
Al Ahly head Coach Mosimane has lost his first CAF Champions League finals in several years as Wydad’s Walid Regragui is the first manager to beat Mosimane’s Al Ahly in the knockout stages or finals of the CAF champions League.
