Hasaacas Ladies showed superiority when they played Thunder Queens at the Community 8 Park at Tema on match day 10 of the Women’s Premier League.
Coach Yusif Basigi’s team have been in great form since the beginning of the League as they ended the first round unbeaten.
Hasaacas Ladies started brightly and kept the ball well, which resulted in some rough play from Deborah Opoku of Thunder Queens who was shown the first yellow card of the game inside 16 minutes.
Hasaacas Ladies made a substitution in the 36th minute mark when Doris Boaduwaa replaced Success Ameyaa.
That change proved significant as Boaduwaa opened the scoring in the 41st minute after rounding up the goalkeeper and slotting home to make it 1-0 to Hasaacas Ladies. The referee added three minutes but there was no more action as the first half ended.
After the recess, Hasaacas Ladies got the second goal – an important cushion through Veronica Appiah in the 49th minute.
Doris Boaduwaa got her second of the day and Hasaacas Ladies’ third goal in the 55th minute.

Coach Edna Quargarine quickly had to make her first substitution and brought on Gifty Osei for Evelyn Tetteh in the 60th minute. Coach Basigi also introduced Doreen Copson for Azuma Abugri in the 70th minute. Hasaacas Ladies then scored their fourth goal in the 73rd minute through Milot Abena Pokua to put the game beyond Thunder Queens.
There wasn’t much action from then on and the referee as the referee blew her whistle for the end of the game – Hasaacas Ladies carried the day with a 4-0 victory, cementing their position at the top of the Southern Zone table.
Hasaacas Ladies defender Janet Egyir was adjudged NASCO player of the game.
