The Hall Master of Commonwealth Hall(Vandal City),Prof. Frank Nyame has not been arrested by the Police as reported in the media.
Information circulating on some of the social media platforms alleging the Hall Master of Commonwealth Hall has been arrested by some Police Officers over directives he issued to proceed illegally or without permit of the Commonwealth Hall Annex Project thereby inciting students against University Management is FALSE !
Information gathered from the Hall indicates, the Hall Master is safe, went to the Legon Police to answer some questions over an alleged disturbance in the Hall which he did so with his lawyers.
Meanwhile, the Hall is serene and safe, academic work is still ongoing and the Annex Project is currently on course.
The Commonwealth Hall Annex Project is an initiative by the Old Vandals Association (OVA), the Alumni of the Hall.
The ultramodern facility when completed, will help curb the accommodation crisis confronted by the University yearly.
The estimated US $42m development will involve construction of a fully furnished 4660-bed capacity, comprising 302 one-bed block, 552 two-bed block, 3,806 four-bed block, 32 two-bedroom lecture flats, 8,000 capacity auditorium and a shopping mall.”
