Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has admitted that there is much work and tough decisions to make after his side’s third place finish at the Kirin Cup in Japan.
Otto Addo revealed that his side’s needs polishing after his assessment of the the squad in the just ended four wheel country tournament.
The experienced tactician praised his side fo their fighting spirit against Chile after try managed to secure a 3-1 victory in a penalty shootout after finishing the game with 9 men.
“The tournament was a good one and we had a fair idea of what to expect in th World Cup, we noticed our mistakes and it’s time to get them corrected.
“In the first game, we lost as a result of fatigue having traveled in a long flight. We also played to tough AFCON qualifying games before and it wasn’t a bad performance at all.
“There will be very tough decisions to make approaching the World Cup, the last window will be in September before the huge tournament and it would be very difficult to choose the right players. Everyone in the team has showcased why he should be selected and I think I will definitely have sleepless nights” Coach Otto Addo said in the post-match interview after the Black Stars victory against Chile.
Ghana walked away with bronze in the just ended Kirin Cup in Japan as part of the preparations towards the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
