GFA Capo Kurt E.S Okraku has laud father of Brighton fullbackTariq Lamptey after playing a significant role in his son’s decision to switch allegiance to play for Ghana.
Kurt Okraku yesterday revealed on a post on facebook that fruitful talks have been held between fullback Tariq Lamptey and five other Internationals who have agreed to play for Ghana in the upcoming CAF qualifiers and the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The GFA Boss over recent months has been on a mission trying to convince Ghanaian-players born abroad to switch allegiance and represent Ghana.
“Tariq Lamptey, Inaki Williams, Mohammed Salisu, Stephan Ambrosius, Patrick Pfeffer, Ransford Yeboah are all available for nationalteam selection”. Kurt Okraku revealed in a post on facebook.
Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams posted a video yesterday coming his decision to defend the Black T shirt and also confirmed his switch to Ghana after series of persuasive talks.
Kurt Okraku proceeded to thank Ahmed, father of Tariq Lamptey who was very detrimental in the talks to get the fullback switch allegiance for the Black Stars. He said;
” Yours truly with the dad of Tariq (Ahmed). Bro thanks for the trust and determination to see Ghana succeed”.
Tariq Lamptey and the other five aforementioned players will be available for selection for the Black Stars when the World Cup kicks starts in the latter part of the year in November ,2022.
