The President of the Ghana football Association Kurt Okraku has come out to deny reports by the media that Black Stars Head Coach Otoo Addo has extended his contract with the National Team.
Coach Otoo Addo who is an Assistant Coach for German Bundesliga side Broussia Dortmund helped qualify Ghana to the World Cup after after defeating Nigeria via away goal rule.
There has been reports that Coach Otoo Addo has extended his contract and will be leading the Black Stars to the World Cup but the President of the Federation has this to say
“I woke up this morning to many stories on coach Otto Addo. Truth [is] Ghana has not met with his employers [Dortmund] yet. Steps are being taken to that effect and we will keep everybody informed on progress made.
“Getting our technical team in place for upcoming assignments is high on the agenda of our football association,”
Meanwhile Kurt Okraku and other members of the Ghana Football Association will be in Germany for finalize the deal with Dortmund and Otoo Addo.
Ghana have been drawn against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in the Group stages of this year’s World Cup.
