Astute football Capo Alhaji Grusah has warned that, the newly acquired sponsorship funds should be shared equally to all the Premier League clubs.
Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak ain’t bigger than any of the clubs in the country hence the sponsorship money should be shared equally.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) yesterday sealed a multi-year lofty headline sponsorship deal with the Africa’s leading online gambling company BetPawa.
The Ghana Football Association and Betpawa struck an agreement during yesterdays brief to be the headline sponsor ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The current administration of the Ghana Football Association headed by Kurt E.S Okraku, has been in search for a headline sponsor for the country’s top-tier league in the last three years.
According to the Bankroller of King Faisal Babies, Mr Alhaji Grusah said Asante Kotoko and Hearts Of Oak are not bigger than any club in Ghana and hence they should not be treated specially.
In an interview with Angel FM, the veteran football administrator has called for the money derived from the sponsorship deal to be shared equally amongst the 18 clubs.
“The wait for a headline sponsor is finally over and we are all happy for such a wonderful news.
“This will improve the quality of our league and make it attractive.
“Hearts of Oak and Kotoko are not bigger than any other club in Ghana, the sponsorship money should be shared equal among us.
“All the club should be treated fairly and there won’t be any problem”. He concluded.
The 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League season is sceduled to kickoff on the second week of September.
