Accra Heart of Oak has issued an update on the injury situation of midfielder Salifu Ibrahim ahead of their Week 15 Ghana Premier League game against Nations Fc.
Salifu picked up an injury during Ghana’s Super Clash game which featured Accra Heart of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The phobia team lost the game by 3-2 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. Ibrahim Salifu was substituted in the Second Half of the game after picking up a knock.
In a post cited by Talksghana.com, Accra Heart of Oak has confirmed that the midfielder was unable to train with the teak today but will return to training in the subsequent days as the extent of the injury is not severe.
“Salifu Ibrahim will miss today’s training session due to an injury he sustained during our game against Kotoko. He is expected to resume training tomorrow. Wishing you a speedy recovery 🙏,” the club announced on X, formerly Twitter.
