Ghana Football Association Executive Council Member Randy Abbey has disclosed that the Ghana Football Association is working very hard to attain a headline sponsor for the upcoming 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League season.
According to Randy Abbey, the Ghana Football Association is in talks to get a lucrative headline sponsor for the league and he also urged the club’s in the top-flight to also fight and gain sponsorship deals to ease the budden on the GFA.
Asante Kotoko were awarded GHC250,000 for emerging as champions of the just ended league campaign and the GFA has been a subject of backlashes from the public who have complained the standard of the league as compared to other leagues in Africa.
In an interview with Original FM , Mt Randy Abbey praised the GFA for a wonderful work done in the just ended league campaign and also stressed that they are working hard towards attaining a sponsor for the league next season. He said;
“The GFA is working very hard to get a sponsor for the league and clubs should also get sponsorship deals , the GFA alone cannot solve all their problems.
“The GFA will surely get a headline sponsor for the league next season and they are really working very hard to secure a lucrative deal.
“This season was brilliant and we believe with a headline sponsor next season the league will be more attractive and will be more successful” He concluded.
Football makers have complained bitterly on GFA’S failure to secure a lucrative sponsorship for league. There has been hope that the football administrators will help reduce the budden with a a lucrative sponsorship headline going into next season.
