The National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP), has announced the increment in prices of the product.
The association has communicated the information to all its regional members with caution to increase the price of a bag that currently sells at GHC 2.50 to GHS 3.50.
Speaking in an interview with Takoradi based Skyy Power FM monitored by Talksghana.com, the secretary of the Association in the Western Region, Mr. Benjamin Nana Sam Brew further indicated that the revised price takes effect from Monday, February 15, 2021.
Mr. Benjamin Nana Sam Brew added that the price of iced sachet has also increased from GHS 0. 2 pesewas to GHS 0. 30 pesewas.
He noted that “the price review has been necessitated as a result of the rising cost of production and distribution. Our production cost keeps increasing and we need to work with a new price to enable us to cover those costs”. Mr. Benjamin Nana Sam Brew noted.
