The Phobians made a good account of themselves against Karela United last weekend and now have a big mountain to climb to overcome an unpredictable Dreams FC side on this afternoon. The Still Believe boys will come into this game with high hopes of grabbing all maximum points at stake following their 1-1 stalemate with Legon Cities last time out.
Coach Boadu is expected to make some changes in the team that drew with karela United last week in Anyinase. He will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation.
The defensive set up may be Fatawu Mohammed,Caleb Amankwah,Nuru Sulley, William Denkyi with Ben Mensah operating in between the sticks for the Phobians.
Benjamin Afutu, Emmanuel Nettey and Manaf Umar may complete the midfield.
Patrick Razak, Victor Aiddo and Daniel Afriyie may also complete the attacking three.
Asante Kotoko are forth on the league table with 34 points. A win this afternoon will left the up the table.
However, lets us have a look at how Samuel Boadu might set his Hearts of Oak side up against Dreams Fc.
Ben Mensah (GK) – He’s been in post for the Phobians in recent games and should continue for this huge fixture.
Fatawu Mohammed (RB) – He will be expected to add some thrust upfield and make the most of potential lapses in concentration.
Caleb Amankwah (CB) – Amankwah has stepped up in the absence of Mohammed Alhassan and, if deemed fit, could boost his stock massively with a good performance here.
Nuru Sulley (CB) – Has been partial to the odd mistake this season but he possesses brilliant passing ability that allows his side to build from the back.
William Dankyi (LB) – Raddy Ovouka has been immense this season which has limited the impact William Dankyi has been able to make. With the Congolese set to miss this tie through suspension, Dankyi deserves a chance in this one to prove his worth.
Benjamin Afutu (CM) – The hardworking midfielder always plays his part expertly and will provide a solid screen to his back four should Dreams FC decide to embark on the odd counter attack.
Emmanuel Nettey (CM) – Hasn’t been quite as impactful as he can be this term but will always give his all and pops up all over the pitch.
Manaf Umar (CM) – The technical ability of Manaf Umar could be key in frustrating a resilient and physical Dreams midfield on Sunday. Key in drawing fouls and advancing play.
Patrick Razak (RW) – Expect plenty of positional interchanging from Hearts’ front three and dozens of balls in behind for Razak to chase.
Victor Aidoo (CF) – He has struggle for form in recent weeks with his goal contributions drying up to reflect that. Will need to be on top form as the onus to score is on Hearts.
Daniel Afriyie (LW) – A tenacious hard worker who will need his best running boots on. Lacks end product often but Afriyie is key to Hearts’ fluidity in the final third.
Predicted Kotoko starting IX against Legon Cities:
Benjamin Mensah(GK), Fatawu Mohammed(c), William Denkyi, Caleb Amankwah, Nuru Sulley, Benjamin Afutu, Emmanuel Nettey, Manaf Umar, Patrick Razak, Victor Aidoo, Daniel Afriyie
