The Black Stars of Ghana will play against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in an international friendly game during the next International break happening in March. The Super Eagles were runners-up at the AFCON 2023 after losing to host Ivory Coast in the final.
The Nigerian Football Association confirmed the friendly encounter between Ghana and Nigeria on its official social media handles as they seek to intensify preparations for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Both Ghana and Nigeria are without a Head Coach after the just-ended 2023 African Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast. The Nigeria Football Federation appointed Augustine Eguavoen as the interim coach of the men’s national team, Super Eagles after former Coach Jose Peseiro left his role.
However, the Ghana Football Association is yet to appoint a coach for the Black Stars of Ghana after the dismissal of former Coach Chris Hughton. Ghana will not only play Nigeria but will also face Uganda four days after the Nigeria game.
The International friendly game between Ghana and Nigeria is scheduled for March 22 at the Stade Grande Marrakech in Morocco.
