Bam Adebayo was the main man for Miami Heat as they defeated the Boston Celtics 109-103 to shook Miami’s lead to 2-1 in the Eastern Conference Finals play-off.
Adebayo took responsibility after the Heat were without talisman Jimmy Butler in the second half due to injury and impressively scored a whopping 31 points as well as making 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.
Speaking after the game Bam Adebayo highlighted on the fact that he had take responsibility to secure the win for fellow teammate Jimmy Butler who limped off during halftime. He said;
“I had to pick up my weight. These last couple games, my team was depending on me and I didn’t show up.
“I took it upon myself to lock in and get the win”.
Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra praised Adebayo after the game.
“He’s a winning player,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said of Adebayo. “He really is the heart and soul of our group. You can count on him all the time.
“He doesn’t get caught up in all the noise. He’s just out there competing and playing winning basketball, doing it on both ends.”
The Celtics Star player Jayson Tatum had a night to forget after he manage only 10 points, his compatriot on the other side Jaylen Brown starred for the Celtics with 40 points.
“Unacceptable. I’ve got to play better,” said Tatum. “I feel like I left the guys hanging tonight. That’s on me.” Jayson Tatum said after a disappointing game.
Boston coach Ime Udoka stated “We didn’t match [their physicality] from the start.
“We got into complaining and let it take us out of our game. It’s disappointing to come out that flat in a conference finals game”.
The Boston Celtics will be at home on Monday 1:30am as they face Miami Heat in game four of the best -of-seven-series.
