Mohammed Salisu elated after Southampton debut

Ghanaian young centre-back Mohammed Salisu has expressed huge delightfulness after finally making his debut for Southampton since joining them in the summer.

The 21-year-old was sensational last night and fits very perfect for the last man after enjoying full throttle in his side’s resounding 0-2 away victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the round 16 of the English FA Cup.
Salisu 21, joined the Saints in the summer from Spanish Laliga outfit Real Valladolid for over £10.9million but had to wait for months before finally marking his debut in his new adventure mainly due to injuries.
In a post match interview, Mohammed Salisu disclosed is a perfect debut for him and he’s elated to have returned to the pitch after a while marking it with a win and a clean sheet.
However, he also lauded the performance of his teammate in the game last and has targeted playing more minutes in their subsequent games.
“It’s a perfect night, I’m really happy to be back with the team,” the Ghanaian centre-back said after the game. “The team really did well and worked hard, I’m very happy.
“I’m very excited for a clean sheet, it’s very important. It was a great boost really, we are going to give our all on Sunday.”
“I’m looking forward to playing more matches and give my best to the team.”
