Former Asante Kotoko whizzkid and Dundee United playmaker Matthew Anim Cudjoe has revealed he is confident of securing invitation into the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup.
Ghana will be part of Africa’s representatives in this year’s 2022 World Cup sceduled to take place in Qatar in November.
Coach Otto Addo and his troops are preparing for the competition having played two matches in two AFCON 2023 qualifiers and, most recently participated in the Kirin Cup in Japan where they placed third.
Anim Cudjoe has stated that he believes he is ready and will patiently wait for his call-up into the Black Stars of which he is very confident of. In an interview with Tv3 New Day , the former Legon Cities attacker said;
“I am very confident that I will be at the World Cup.We [Dundee United] qualified for the Europa Conference League so I’ll be part of the squad. I’m training very hard Ghana so I have the confidence that the Black Stars will send me an invitation for the World Cup. I believe in myself so there is no problem. The pitch will decide.
“I want to be part of this team [Black Stars] for the World Cup in November. That’s my dream for now so I’m working hard to get there,” He concluded.
Matthew Anim Cudjoe made two appearances for Scottish side Dundee United as they made a spot in next season’s Europa Conference League.
