    Match Report: Ali, Simba strikes as Dreams beats 10-man Hearts of Oak in Dawu

    The Phobians begun on a brighter note after Victor Aidoo was played through by Patrick Razak with a fine pass but he failed to utilise that early goalscoring opportunity.

    The host responded quickly with Ibrahim Issah nipping on a miscommunication among the Hearts defence but failed to hand his side the lead.
    Hearts of Oak nearly took the lead on the 8th minute through skipper Fatawu Mohammed who misplaced the Dreams goalie but his effort was cleared just on the line by Abdulai Massaudu.
    The home team again with another incursion as Agyenim Boateng wins a free kick just behind the edge of the box but Ibrahim Issah’s delivery was off target.
    The visitors captain drives forward again with an open space right in front of him, he sent in a powerful drive which was stopped by a great reflex from goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi.
    Dreams FC comes forward as Ali Huzaif combines with Agyenim Boateng to send in a belter but his long range effort was gathered calmly by goalkeeper Ben Mensah.
    On the 26th minute, the Rainbow club appealed for a penalty after speedster Patrick Razak was brought down inside the penalty box but the referee just wasn’t interested with the one.
    The tormentor again, Agyenim Boateng fouled just behind the edge of the box, at a very advantageous position but Ali Huzaif’s effort was was blocked by the human wall.
    When exchanges from both teams yet no goal was recorded as the first first half ended goalless in Dawu.
    The travelers suffered a huge right from the start of the second half as centre-back Nuru Sulley got sent off after picking his second yellow of the game on the 51st minute.
    Just two minutes after leaving the pitch, Dreams FC finally found the net through Ali Huzaif who jumped high over everyone to head home to hand his side the lead.
    Coach Samuel Boadu men tried to respond quickly after going down as Fatawu Mohammed was played through with a decent mirror pass and needed just a close range tap in to score but failed to find the net.
    Referee indicated seven minutes of additional time as both teams had corner kicks but all yielded nothing.
    Dreams FC doubled their lead on the 96th minute as substitute Sylvester Simba made a good run inside the box and planted into the net with a solo strike to make it 2-0.
    That’s how it finished, Dreams return to winning ways with a crucial victory as they have now to the 5th position with 34 points.
