The Black Stars of Ghana have lost their first game in the Kirin Cup after been defeated by host Japan by four goals to one.
Japanese international’Yamane Miki opened the scoring in the 29 minute to put them ahead, a 44th minute equalizer from Jordan Ayew wasn’t enough as Nitoma Kaoru restored the lead for Japan before the first half break.
The second half restarted as Kubo Takefusa scored a third for Japan in the 73rd minute. An 82nd minute goal from Daizen Maeda secured all four goals for the Japanese side.
Ghana will take on Chile in the last game of the Kirin Cup as both countries will battle it out for the 3rd place spot.
