Experienced tactician Seydou Zerbo has disclosed he feels honored and proud to be the head coach of ‘mighty’ Asante Kotoko.
The Burkinabe trainer penned a one-year deal with an option of renewal with the Porcupine Warriors for the new season.
Zerbo replaced Prosper Narteh Ogum who parted-ways with the club after just a season in charge.
Speaking ahead of their second leg tie of the CAF Champions League preliminary round against Kadiogo, Zerbo revealed that he feels excited and honoured to take charge of the club.
“It’s a pleasure for me to be here because ever since I was young, I heard the name of Asante Kotoko and I must say I am very proud to be here.
“I would like to say a big thanks to the management and the supporters for a warm welcome.
“We are looking forward to making Asante Kotoko the best in Africa and we are working hard to achieve such an objective” Coach Seydou Zerbo told the press.
Asante Kotoko recorded a 1-0 win in the first leg against RC Kadiogo in Benin on Monday.
The winner of the two-legged tie will face the winner of the game between Gaborone United Sporting Club and AS Vita Club of DR Congo in the next round of the competition.
