Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko Striker Kwame Opoku who currently plays for Algerian club USM Alger has said he is not been given a Black Stars call up due to injury.
In an interview with Atinka FM, Kwame Poku believes he can perform better than incoming Black Stars players Inaki and Nico Williams.
”I’m the next Jordan Ayew in the Black Stars squad. If I am fit, I will start ahead of Inaki Williams and other striker,” he told Accra-based Atinka FM.
Kwame PokuKwame Poku joined Algerian Club USM Alger In 2021 on a four year deal. He has played 18 games in the 2021/22 season and scored one goal.
The USM Alger striker debuted for the Black Stars of Ghana in a 1-1 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification game with South Africa on 25 March 2021.
