Former Juventus striker Richmond Boakye has expressed his desire to play for Asante Kotoko before he retires from professional football.
The 28 year old forward has always revealed his undeniably love for Asante Kotoko and has labelled them as the big club in the country.
Asante Kotoko clinched their 26th league title in the just ended 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League after amassed a whopping 67 points under Dr Prosper Nartey Ogum.
Speaking in an interview with Joy Sports, Richmond Boakye Yiadom said;
“I really love Asante Kotoko and I think I will play for them when I am done with my stints in Europe.
“They have a solid and an appealing brand which makes people fall in love with them and go watch their games.
“They almost filled the stadiums when they play at home and that alone tells you how much people love them, I will definitely play for them before I retire from professional football” He concluded.
Richmond Boakye made 19 appearances for the BlackStars and scored a total of 7 goals during that period as he eyes a call-up again ahead of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
He currently plays for Israeli side Beitar Jerusalem in the top-flight.
