Former Ghana international and head Coach of the Black Stars of Ghana Charles Akunnor has come out to rally his support for the current Black Stars technical team led by Coach Otoo Addo.
C.K Akunnor was replaced by Milovan Rajevac before the 2022 African Cup of Nations tournament after been in charge of the Black Stars for some months. Current head Coach Otoo Addo also took over from Milovan after Ghana performed poorly at the Afcon tournament.
C.K Akunnor has called on Ghanaians to support Coach Otoo Addo as he leads Ghana to the 2023 Afcon Qualifiers and the Upcoming World Cup tournament to be staged in Qatar.
“I was happy with Otto Addo’s appointment. I spoke to him before he took over the job. I think what he needs is support and nothing else,” the former Asante Kotoko coach Akonnor said.
“We have World Cup and AFCON qualifiers coming up and that is what we must do if we want the team and the technical team to succeed.”
Ghana starts its Afcon qualifiers campaign in June as they have been drawn alongside Madagascar, Angola and Central African Republic.
