Former U20 star, Ebenezer Assifuah has disclosed he was on course of reaching Paul Pogba’s level in football.
Paul Pogba rose to instant prominence after the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup and Ebenezer Assifuah has revealed his regrets after failing to live up to expectations.
Ebenezer Assifuah also stressed that, he always feels very sad anytime he sees how far France footballer Paul Pogba has gotten to in football after they both participated in the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup.
In an interview with Original TV, the former U20 World Cup bronze medalist said;
“I feel so so sad when I see the likes of Paul Pogba, Samuel Umtiti and the rest who played in the U20 World Cup rise to such prominence in football.
“They rose to a high level in football because of the respective countries they come from. The countries saw their talents and groomed them.
“They have all won the World Cup and still playing top quality football, Paul Pogba was transferred to Manchester United for for €90m and that alone tells you the level he has gotten to.
“For us, we currently cannnot win the World Cup and that alone tells u how below par we are. I wish to have gotten to his level” Ebenezer Assifuah concluded bitterly.
Ebenezer Assifuah won bronze with the Black Satellites ( now Galaxies) in the 2013 U20 World Cup in Turkey.
