Legon Cities forward Hans Kwofie has revealed he has not been paid for the past 7 months by the Royals and that has impacted a conflict in his marriage.
According to Hans Kwofie, Legon Cities are yet to settle his signing-on fee since his switch from AshantiGold SC last season.
The experienced goalscorer also stressed that, he is currently broke and depends on little favours from club supporters and his wife whom he always quarrels with over his withheld salaries.
In an interview with Angel FM, Hans Kwofie said;
“The season has ended but I cannot leave camp for home because my wife has sacked me from home. She says I shouldn’t come home and be a depend on her and her little shop.
“I haven’t been paid for 7 months by Legon Cities and my signing-on fees that was promised on my contract signing too hasn’t been settled. I depend mainly on my wife and friends, when I call them they keep toasting me and life has been very unbearable for me.
“I plead with the club management to come to my aid and settle the debt they owe me, I really had a wonderful league campaign” He concluded sorrowful.
Hans Kwofie joined Legon Cities earlier on in February last year for an undisclosed fee from AshantiGold SC and has since been a key member for the Royals.
He was the club’s leading goalscorer in the 2020/2021 league season with seven goals.
