Former Liberty Professional and Ghanaian football coach, Sellas Tetteh made some comments that he could have been the man to win the World Cup for Ghana if he should have been given the job.
Sellas Tetteh led the Black Satellites to win the U-20 FiFA world Cup in Egypt on an African soil.
Speaking in an interview to Woezor TV Sellas Tetteh stated that he would have been the First Coach to lead an African Country to win the World Cup but the opportunity was not handed to him.
“I have coached the Black Stars as caretaker coach and other various national teams,” he said.
“I have coached the U-20 where I won the African Youth Championship and the World Cup and the U-23 team.
“I know the Black Stars job is not an easy task but I could have led the team to win the World Cup. I had a plan for the U-20 and it worked perfectly during the African Youth Championship and the World Cup.
“It is a big stage where all the countries are exhibiting what they have and for me, the Black Stars could have done better if I was given the job,” he added as quoted by football Ghana.
Sellas Tetteh was caretaker coach of Ghana from 2008 and also managed the Rwanda National team.
