AshantiGold SC Thomas Duah has pleaded with the GFA to reconsider his ban after being convicted of match-fixing allegations.
AshantiGold SC and Inter Allies were demoted to the Division Two League by the GFA after found guilty of match-fixing allegations.
Coach Thomas Duah was given a 24 month ban from all football related activities for his involvement in the match-fixing scandal.
The Astute coach in an interview with Kessben FM has pleaded with the GFA to scrap off his ban since he has no hands in he scandal.
“I am begging with the GFA to consider me, getting a lawyer to defend you costs alot of money
“All the allegations levelled against me are false, we played a good game last season with Inter Allies, I don’t know where all these allegations are from.
“No one including Champion can boldly say they had a transaction with me. Before the start of the game, I told the boys to go entertain themselves because we really needed the points” He concluded.
The GFA announced a three-way playoff league to determine who replaces AshantiGold SC in the 2022/2023 Premier League next season.
Ebusua Dwarfs, Liberty Professionals and Tamale City will battle it for supremacy in a bid for participate in the GPL next season.
