Experienced tactician Annor Walker has expressed readiness to take up the Hearts of Oak vacant coaching role but if the Phobians agree to buy him out of his current contract with Samartex 1996.
The Phobians sacked Samuel Boadu earlier last week following a poor start to the season, having picked only two points in the opening three matches.
Numerous names have popped up for the vacant coaching role with the media linking Dutch trainer Erik van der Meer to the 2022 MTN FA Cup winners however for the Technical Director roleship.
Former Asante Kotoko coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum and Annor Walker have also been strongly linked to the job.
Dr. Ogum links to the club now looks slim after landing a job as Scout for the Black Stars for the upcoming 2022 World Cup.
Speaking on GSP Radio, the ex- Great Olympics coach has expressed his willingness to lead the Rainbow club but admitted it can only materialize when Samartex FC agree.
“I am under contract at FC Samartex and Hearts of Oak wants to buy me from the contract so it will depend on FC Samartex to allow me to go.
“Hearts of Oak is a big club and I am willing to join them if they agree everything with Samartex.
“There is a lot of pressure from Hearts of Oak management and some supporters to join them and even as I am in Algeria, they kept on calling me” He concluded.
Annor Walker is a very experience coach who just recently qualified the Black Galaxies to the 2023 African Nations Championship which will be held in Algeria.
