Accra Heart of Oak defeated rivals Real Tamale United in Matchday 18 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League. The game which was hosted at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon recorded massive attendance as fans trooped in to support their respective clubs.
Hamza Issah scored two quick goals in the first half to hand the phobia boys a 2-0 lead going into the First Half Break. The second half saw a much better performance from both teams but it was Accra Heart of Oak that proved dominance over their opponents.
Enock Asubonteng scored late to make it three for the Accra Based Club as they secured all three points at home under new manager Aboubakar Ouattara who was just appointed before the commencement of the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
After the game, Heart’s New Manager Commented by saying the team is one of the best in Africa and he will do everything possible to bring it back to the top.
“Not in Ghana. One of the biggest clubs in Africa but the people are bringing this team to a lower level.”
I can never accept that. We are going to try to bring Hearts of Oak to their past (successful) era.
”But only hard work will make that possible. Nothing else.”
Hearts of Oak are currently ninth on the league table with 24 points are they prepare to face Nsoatreman in the Leagues week 19 fixture.
