Hearts of Oak new signing Gladson Awako scored a screamer on his long awaited debut to hand his side their first win of the season against Elmina Sharks on Wednesday.
The 30 year old came on as a 64th minute substitute for Enock Asubonteng and scored from long range to put the Hearts of Oak ahead in the 72nd minute on matchday eight at the Nduom Sports Stadium
Awako only rejoined the club’s training last month following months of absence citing personal problems.
He later attributed his leave of absence from the club to a long running stomach upset.

Both teams were reduced to 10 men as Ibrahim Suraj andIbrahim Salifu were sent off in the 76th and 83rd minutes respectively.
