In an interview with Akoma 87.9 FM, Mr Richard Ahenkorah said;
“Nico is the younger brother of Inaki, and the GFA have opened the process which Inaki went through to get him for the Black Stars.
“He is just 19 years of age and has already secured a starting place in the first team of Bilbao. Nico is a very talented and skillful player who is now picking up game after game.
“We should give him the chance to get matured and surely he will be ready for Ghana (Black Stars).
“We just have to give him a little time to progress just as we did for Inaki but the final decision rest in the hands of the player.
“He is a Ghanaian, and really love the country but I cannot confirm his nationality switch but surely at the right time the decision will come” He concluded.
