Former Black Stars striker Abdul Majeed Waris has reportedly cut ties with French topflight outfit FC Strasbourg upon contract expiry.
The French side opted against offering the 30 year old a new contract after his current deal elapsed on the 30th of June, 2022.
Majeed Waris joined FC Strasbourg from Porto on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee and have failed to make an instant impact.
Strasbourg are said to be in for massive overhaul to free part of their large wage bill as well as recruiting new players for the new season.
The former Nantes striker scored two goals and assist three times in fifteen appearances in the ended 2021/2022 league season.
Waris is currently a free agent and there have been talks of a move to Denmark in the ongoing the summer transfer window.
Strasbourg had a wonderful stellar season in the Ligue 1, they finished 6th on the standings with 63 points.
