Berekum Chelsea have completed the signing of former Black Stars fullback Lee Addy on a free transfer for upcoming the season.
The veteran fullback penned year deal with Berekum Chelsea as he makes a stunning return to the Ghana Premier League.
Leed Addy has been without a club since his departure from Ethiopian side St. Georges in 2019 and was close to joining Accra Hearts Of Oak in 2020 but a move never materialised despite training with the club.
Addy was a key member of in Ghana’s team in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, he featured for the Black Stars in the group stage game against Austrialia in the Group stages as well as facing USA in the round of 16.
He also played for the Black Stars at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola after which he went on to feature at the 2012 and 2013 tournaments.
Lee Addy will be expected to play a key role for Berekum Chelsea when the 2022/2023 league campaign commences.
