Former Black Stars defensive rock Jerry Akaminko has opened the door for a sensational return to the Ghana Premier League.
The defender disclosed he still has unfinished business in the domestic league and will make a return after his stints in Europe.
Akaminko rose to prominence when he played for Kpando Hearts of Lions before securing a stunning move to Europe.
With the recent rise in experienced players joining the Ghana Premier League after their stints in Europe, Jerry Akaminko is also considering on joining a club in the domestic league.
In an interview with Radio Gold, Jerry Akaminko said;
“It’s possible I can come back and play for Hearts of Lions where it all began for me.
“Experienced players are returning to make the league more attractive and I will also make a return one day.
“Sulley Muntari played, Agyemang Badu has joined, few players will join [Samuel] Inkoom is playing already”.
“So I think it’s a good thing, it’s giving us hope that we can also play even when we didn’t want to play or anything.
“It has changed our mind and I think I will definitely play, I will definitely play in the league.
“I wouldn’t be able to tell which team I will play but definitely I will play” He concluded.
Akaminko plied most of his career in Turkey with Eskisehirspor, Istanbulspor, Orduspor and Manisaspor.
