A first year student of the University of Cape Coast has died after being hit by a speeding vehicle.
The accident is reported to have at Ayensudu, near the UCC satellite campus of the Nduom School of Business and Technology.
In a statement signed by the Public Affairs Director of the University, the student, Priscilla Owusu Achia, 19, was in the company of some friends to buy food items when the Sprinter Bus, which was overtaking another bus, knocked her.
Priscilla Achia died two days after the incident.
The UCC management says that the family of the student has been informed of the incident and police have begun investigations into the matter.
