Asante Kotoko have confirmed Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama has left the club upon contract expiry.
Fabio Gama joined Asante Kotoko last season and penned a two-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors.
After a successful league campaign, the Brazilian has reportedly cut ties with Asante Kotoko after wining the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League with the Reds.
Asante Kotoko released a statement on their twitter page confirming the Brazilian’s depature. Check it out below;
“Fabio Gama leaves Asante Kotoko after expiration of contract. Fabio explained to management at the end of the season his desire to explore other opportunities elsewhere after two successful seasons with the club.
“He explained personal and family reasons related to the decision and management are respectful of same.It was never an issue of the club’s inability to meet his demands as none was made.
“We thank Fabio and his family for many wonderful memories, positive attitude and sense of professionalism during his stay.
“Asante Kotoko wish him the very best in his next adventure” the club concluded.
Fabio Gama was very detrimental for Asante Kotoko as they secured their 26th league title with explosive performances week in week out.
