Former player of the Black Stars of Ghana Yaw Preko has sent a word of advice to the Black Stars of Ghana as they prepare to face Portugal in the Group stages of the Fifa World Cup.
Ghana have been drawn against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in the Group stages of the tournament. This means that the Black Stars of Ghana will again face world best player Ronaldo after he scored against Ghana in the 2014 World Cup.
With much attention on Ronaldo, Yaw Preko has advised the Black Stars team not to focus only on Ronaldo but also focus on his dangerous teammates.
“We shouldn’t underrate Portugal. I don’t see Ronaldo as a threat but the players around him. Since he came to Manchester United, you can see that physically and psychologically, he is not the same but the players around him are dangerous,” he told Graphic Sports.
Yaw Preko made 68 appearances for the Black Stars of Ghana and also played for the Fenarbache football club.
