Former Asante Kotoko captain Joe Hendricks has revealed that it is too early to put Cameroonian striker Frank Mbella Etouga on the levels of former Hearts Of Oak striker Ishmael Addo.
Frank Mbella Etouga joined the Porcupines at the start of the season and since then has made instant impact for his side with magnificent run of performances week in week out.
The goal machine has scored a remarkable 21 goals and he currently leads the goal chart with AshantiGold SC forward trailing behind with 20.
Many have however compared him with former Hearts Of Oak legend Ishmael Addo and some have even argued he is better than the legend.
Joe Hendricks has labelled such comparisons as fluke and abnormal and believes it is too early for such comparisons.
“Mbella is a good striker but he is yet to meet more quality defenders in the league. He has done a remarkable job for Asante Kotoko this season.
“It’s too early to compare him to Ishmael Addo who was consistent for Hearts of Oak for more than six seasons” Joe Hendricks said in an interview with Angel FM.
Frank Mbella Etouga is eager to increase his goal tally with just two more matches to end the league campaign.
