CAF has rejected the Baba Yara Stadium and Accra Sports Stadium as both pitches failed to meet the requirements for the upcoming inter club competition.
The Cape Coast Stadium have been approved ahead of the Kumasi and Accra Sports Stadiums. This means that both Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko who will be representing Ghana in next season’s CAF Competition will use the Cape Coast Stadium as their home venue.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko who are champions of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier league will face off with Burkinabe side, Rail Club de Kadiogo in the preliminary round on the 9-11, 2022, whereas the second leg comes off on the weekend of September 16-18, 2022.
Hearts of OakHearts of Oak, will also meet the winner of the match between AS Douanes of Burkina Faso and Mali’s AS Bamako in the Confederation Cup at the Cape Coast Stadium.
