The Black Stars of Ghana have arrived in Japan as they are set to participate in a four natiin tournament dubbed the kirin Cup. Ghana secured a win and a draw in the AFCON 2023 qualifiers against Madagascar and Central African republic respectively.
The Black Stars of Ghana will play it’s first Game against Japan on Friday. The winner will then go ahead to face the winner of either Chile or Tunisia in the finals.
Coach Otoo Addo will use the tournament to prepare ahead of the 2022 World Cup tournament to be hosted in Qatar. The Black Stars will be without number one goalkeeper Joojo Wollacot due to injury.
Ghana are set to face Portugal in the first game of the 2022 World Cup group stage game.
