Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo has expressed his delight over being given the opportunity to take over the managerial reigns of the Senior National Team.
The Ex- Ghanaian International was given the heavy mantle after Serbian Trainer Milovan Rajevac was shown the exit door following a disastrous campaign at the 2022 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The Black Stars crashed out of the group stages of the tournament with a point after three games.
Addo made instant impact by guiding the Black Stars to overcome the Super Eagles of Nigeria to qualify for the upcoming 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup sceduled to kickoff in November.
The Ghana Football Association have now offered Otto Addo the permanency of the Black Stars job.
“The association had already asked me as a coach in February, but at that time the priority on its part was initially on a personality that was to work firmly for Ghana. For me, the offer was a great honor.
“However, I also made it clear from the beginning in the discussions that my priority is BVB, but I can imagine the job interim and in a double function”, Otto Addo said in an interview session express his delight and gratitude of coaching the Black Stars.
Black Stars will battle it out with Madagascar in the upcoming 2023 AFCON qualifiers sceduled for June 2022.
