Dansoman Wise XI defeated Adarbraka Elders 1-0 in the AWDFA Division 3 middle league final to secure a historic qualification.
The mouth-watering clash took place yesterday 31st June, 2022 at the Carl-Reindoff Park to determine who secures qualification into Division Two.
D WISE XI secured a narrow 1-0 win over Soccer Bridge Academy in the playoffs to book a spot in the finals of the middle league.
Their final day opponents, Adarbraka Elders FC were 3-2 victors over rivals Accra Rockets Academy in the playoffs to make it to the finals after losing out last season.
D WISE XI started the game strongly in the opening stages of the game and broke the deadlock on the 21st minute of the first half.
Adarbraka Elders came back strongly in the second half to grab an equaliser but all their efforts proved futile as D WISE XI held on to secure an historic qualification.
D WISE XI midfield senation Benjamin Arhin was adjudged the best player of the league after winning nine Man of the Match awards.
The Dansoman-based side will be in the
AWDFA Division Two League when the 2022/2023 league campaign kickstarts.
