Asante Kotoko will host Nigerian topflight Rivers United in a pre-season friendly for the upcoming 2022/2023 league campaign.
The 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League champions will commence pre-season soon as they look to prepare adequately for the new season.
As part of the pre-season preparations, the Porcupine Warriors will depart to camp in Turkey next month.
Reports from Oyerepa FM indicates, Asante Kotoko will engage Nigeria Premier League Champions Rivers United in a friendly warm up game.
The Porcupines are in eager to bolster their squad for the upcoming league season having already lost the likes of Kwame Baah, Mudasiru Salifu and potentially Frank Mbella Etouga.
Coach Dr Prosper Nartey Ogum is still at post at the club despite reports of the 47 year-old tendering in a resignation letter.
The club’s main objective for a pre-season in Europe is to help them adapt to the weather condtions as they partake in the CAF Champions League when the season kickstarts.
