Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC have announced the signing of Brazilian forward Michael Vinícius Silva de Morais on a two-and-half years deal, the club confirmed today.
The 27-year-old has joined the Porcupine Warriors on a free transfer.
Vinicius joins fellow countryman Fabio Gama, who is the first Brazilian to officially kick a ball for Kotoko and has won the hearts of Ghanaians with his touches.
Vinicius, previously on the books of Fluminense (Brazil), Linkoping City and Vasalunds IF (Sweden) among others must fend off competition from new recruit Solomon Sarfo Taylor, Naby Keita, Ibrahim Osman and Evans Adomako
Michael Vinicius becomes the fourth Brazilian to sign for Kotoko in the last 15 years and the five to join a Ghana premier league club following Gleisson de Souza Ferreira in 2005 and Hermes da Silva in 2013 for the Porcupines and Lozano Silva for Hearts of Oak in 2016 and currently Fabio Gama Dos Santos.
