Accra Hearts of Oak tactician Samuel Boadu has claimed his side is miles better than rivals Asante Kotoko as Super Clash ends in a 1-1 draw.
Asante Kotoko hosted Hearts Of Oak in matchday 3 of the BetPawa Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in an intensed clash.
The mammoth clash stood goalless at half-time and the Porcupines came strongly in the restart as they broke the deadlock on the 57th minute through defender Yussif Mubarik.
The Rainbow side kept pressing and got their reward for their hardwork with Caleb Amankwah grabbing an equaliser in the closing stages to savage a point.
In a post-match conference, coach Samuel Boadu claimed that his side was better than their opponents and, knowing their weakness, he urged his team to push hard
“I wanted to outplay them because I know Hearts of Oak is better than Kotoko. They intentionally injured Gladson Awako and that destroyed our plan.
“I have always known the weakness of Asante Kotoko so I told my boys to keep their composure because we will bounce back.
” We are gradually getting our shape back and our mistakes identified in the game today will be rectified in training.
“My boys played very well and showed character and determination” He concluded.
Hearts Of Oak are now winningless in their three opening games whereas Asante Kotoko have grabbed their first point in their opening fixture of the season.
