Former Black Stars International Dan Quaye has urged Hearts Of Oak to appoint veteran tactician Annor Walker as their new head.
The Phobians are currently without a substantive head coach following the dismissal of Samuel Boadu after a poor start to the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.
The club appointed Samuel Nii Noi and Benjamin Mensah to serve as interim coaches for the side as they hunt for a new head coach for the remainder of the season.
Dutch trainer Van Der Meer has been linked with a stunning move to the 2022 MTN FA Cup champions by numerous reports.
However, former club captain Dan Quaye has reiterated that the Rainbow side should consider hiring Annor Walker as the head coach.
He stressed that, Annor Walker has all the qualities and experience to lead Hearts Of Oak both in domestic and Africa at large.
“Hearts of Oak should app Annor Walker as their new head coach, he is the best available to lead the club.
“Samuel Boadu did a great job but there was problems within the team which he couldn’t solve.
“Annor Walker has the requisite qualities of Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, he is the right man for Hearts Of Oak” He concluded.
Hearts of Oak after three games sit 13th on the league log with 2 points having suffered a defeat in their opener against Aduana Stars before sharing spoils with Great Olympics and Asante Kotoko respectively.
Annor Walker signed a two-year deal with debutants, FC Samartex 1996 but is yet to be on the dugout for the Timber side.
