Tamale City will battle it out with Nsoatreman FC today in the Division One Zone One playoff at the famous Accra Sports Stadium in a bid to book a slot in next season’s 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League.
Nsoatreman FC and Tamale City both finished the league with a joint 71 points apiece with the same head to head stats as both clubs won 1-0 in their respective home venues.
The Ghana Football Association per the rules governing the Division One league confined a playoff between the two teams to enable who gains promotion into the top-flight.
Unity FC earlier on protested against Nsoatreman FC for failing to submit its audited accounts for the 2020/21 league season before the start of the season.
The Ghana Football Association Disciplinary Committee however dismissed Unity FC’s protest against Nsoatreman FC in relation to the Matchday 30 game played at the Twumasi Sports Complex.
The DC however found that Nsoatreman FC submitted its audited accounts on January 11,2022. It was also found that Unity FC had not submitted its audited accounts for the previous season before the start of the 2021/22 league season.
Unity FC were billed with a fine of Ghc 1000.00 after their case was quashed.
The intensed clash will kickoff at 3pm today at the famous Accra Sports Stadium and will be live on the Ghana Football Association YouTube channel.
