Karela United defeated Accra Great Olympics by a lone goal to nil at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park to return to winning ways in yesterday’s matchday 29 midweek fixture.
Karela United secured the hard fought victory in the 98th minute of the game courtesy of a neatly slotted penalty from Richard Berko to give the home side all three maximum points.
Accra Great Olympics were left devastated after the game with the Dade Boys failing to find the back of the net in both halves but all their efforts proved futile.
The home side were awarded a penalty in the last minute of the game after their striker was brought down in the penalty zone by a clumsy challenge from the Great Olympics defender.
Karela United secured their third win in five games as they move closer to gaining a top four finish.
They sit 6th on the league standings with 43 points after gameweek 29 whilst Accra Great Olympics drop to 7th with 43 points also.
